Urban Gamebird Farm Tour

Join this tour to learn about the entire process off raising quail for meat and eggs including hatching, brooding, and egg and meat processing. Interact with birds of various types and ages, and see where they live, what they eat, and what they produce. Explore the perennial crops and plants on the homestead, visit with some Chukar partridges, and learn about some ways to use feathers and eggs for crafts.
This event is offered by the Columbus Agrarian Society as part of the 2016 Ohio Sustainable Farm Tour and Workshop Series. In total, the series features 32 farm tours and 10 educational workshops, offered in partnership with OEFFA, The Ohio State University Sustainable Agriculture Team, Advancing Eco Agriculture, Ashtabula Local Food Council, and Our Harvest Research and Education Institute.
