OEFFA Heart of Ohio Chapter Meeting: Preserving the Local, Seasonal Harvest
Alexandria, OH
Monday, November 21, 2016
7-9 p.m.
Rachel Tayse of Harmonious Homestead lives in a 1950's Cape Cod house on two acres in Columbus with her family, pets, and livestock. After many years tending small gardens in small yards, she is transforming her property into an edible oasis. She loves making everything from butter to bitters to bullets from scratch. Rachel will lead a discussion about preserving the seasonal harvest.
This presentation and discussion is part of the Heart of Ohio Chapter's 2016-2017 event series, "Sustainable living and farming/gardening in a changing climate." Each meeting's discussion will provide information for urban and rural farmers and gardeners. All meetings begin with a short business meeting, which usually includes information concerning farm policy.
