Food Waste: A Strategic Regional Conversation
Cincinnati, OH
Friday, November 4, 2016
8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
This event is being held to locally address the recent Food Loss and Waste Reduction Goal announced by the USDA and the EPA of reducing food waste 50% by 2030.
We know that 40% of food ends up in the landfill. We need to address this issue with prevention, recovery, and recycling efforts. Your participation would be a great asset to the forum and the development of a regional strategic plan—we need you there! The day will provide an opportunity to share background information regarding the goal, analysis of potential responses and current efforts, identification of assets and barriers, and some deep dive discussion on several key components.
We are excited to welcome Susan Mooney, Chief of Municipal and Industrial Materials Section for EPA Region 5 to be one of our speakers among other exciting panelists.
