Earthship & Sustainability Tours
Philo, OH
Saturday, April 8, 2017
1-3:30pm
Join Annie and Jay for a guided tour of Blue Rock Station. The Warmkes are happy to periodically open their farm for a glimpse of how their version of sustainable living works. This is a tour of a private farm so some places may be off limits.
Visitors will view some of the buildings made with rammed-earth tires, straw bales and earth plaster. There are a total of 18 buildings that can potentially be a part of the tour. After a short walk down the lane visitors will be invited to visit the sun room and living room of the first Earthship east of the Mississippi.
Depending on the weather, time will be given for discussion of ideas and questions. Children are always welcome, unless otherwise noted but please keep in mind that this is an adult tour. Please bring something for young children to do since adults will be talking about lots of things that might not be interesting to children.
Reservations and pre-payment are required. Private tours can be scheduled for visitors with more specific questions about their personal building projects.
Register today with a fee of $10.
