Busy Backyard Bees: Rediscovering Native Pollinators

Cincinnati, OH

Saturday, March 24, 2018
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Can the answer to reversing a decline in native pollinators be found in our own backyards? Join Turner Farm for a closer look at the native bees with special guest Natalie Boyle, a researcher for the USDA's Pollinating Insects Research Unit in Utah. With over 4,000 species described in North America, these incredible bees occur in a diversity of landscapes, ranging from forests to deserts, on agricultural lands, and in our own backyards. In this class, you will learn some simple and effective techniques to support and learn about our under-appreciated native bee communities.
