In many ways, Ohio is at the heart of the dramatic shift towards renewable energy that is transforming our society. Many individuals within the state are leading efforts which will have a profound effect on our lifestyle, communities, and the way we conduct business for decades to come. With this in mind, GEO has unveiled a series of lectures designed to bring members and interesting ideas together through a free Green Energy Ohio Lecture Series. The goal is to showcase cutting edge or provocative ideas and promote discussion within the industry and the general community.

“Green Power, Blue Collar” explores recent developments in distributed energy, sustainable building techniques, education and internet communications, which have made it possible to 'take back the power' from the institutions that control our resources. This will be a presentation and discussion on the nature of energy, finance, values and our first steps toward real energy freedom.

Presented by Dave Dwyer, vice-president of Solar Planet Ohio, responsible for solar power system design, engineering and project development for commercial and utility scale projects. He is also owner/operator of American Renewable Energy and Power Consulting, LLC. Dwyer is a USGBC LEED AP, NABCEP Certified PV and ST, licensed electrician and contractor.

Free and open to the public.
