Trans Pacific Partnership Workshop

Columbus, OH

CWA Local 4501 Hall
27 Euclid Ave., Columbus OH
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 5:30-8 p.m.

The largest trade deal ever is being negotiated right now. This pact is similar to, but much bigger than, NAFTA. The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement is much more than a “free” trade agreement – it establishes incentives and protections for multinational corporations to shift jobs and investment wherever they want while eroding government protections for workers and the environment. Every indication is that the TPP would hurt our economy by off-shoring jobs and putting downward pressure on wages; undermine environmental and consumer protections; and put family farmers out of business.

Please join the Communications Workers of America and the Sierra Club for an event where you will learn how you can impact TPP negotiations and help create a better, more responsible trade policy.

Pizza and soft drinks will be served from 5:30 to 6. The workshop will start promptly at 6.
