Organic Certification


On February 17, 2010, the National Organic Program published an amendment to the NOP Standards clarifying access to pasture for livestock. The rule becomes effective June 17, 2010. If this is the first year you are certified organic, you must comply with this rule by June 17, 2010. If you are a renewal applicant, you must comply with the rule by June 17, 2011.

All livestock farmers who are certified with OEFFA have received packets in the mail explaining the pasture rule. You may also download all the necessary materials here:
