Mission of Mary Cooperative has a broad array of warm season and cool weather crops. Our season is from January to November. We have several unheated greenhouses and a heated nursery. Small scale orchard production. Small amount of flower production both edible and decorative.
Description
Mission of Mary Cooperative is investing in the inner east side of Dayton by transforming vacant land plots into vegetable gardens and partnering with our neighbors to sustainably develop our community. Entering our second decade we’ve been building a network of urban agriculture projects that allow us to offer fresh produce to our neighbors year round. In 2021 we harvested and distributed more than 66,000 pounds of vegetables from curly kale to cherry tomatoes. We utilize ecological and sustainable practices. We have a CSA subscription program that is two tiered - providing food access to under-resourced families and an on-line farm store. We also distribute food to local community organizations.
